Hidalgo County Marriage Fees
The fee record has a conflict. Hidalgo County's marriage license page says a $25 fee is paid when the license is issued and lists personal check, cashier check, money order, or cash as accepted payment types, with no credit cards accepted. An official Los Alamos County notice, however, says the New Mexico statewide marriage license fee increased from $25 to $55 effective June 20, 2025. Because the research date was June 19, 2026, the Hidalgo $25 language may be stale unless the clerk confirms it.

Family and divorce records are not all open in the same way. Restricted documents require court-specific access rules rather than a general public-record assumption.
